Today I am walking in to fall with CAT footwear. There is definitely no better way to welcome this season than a with a good pair of classic oxfords. Regardless of your taste and style, a good pair of classic oxfords like these from CAT footwear is a must to own this fall.
When I saw that the CAT footwear came out with the oxfords in black, I knew I had to get them immediately. I had so many ideas how I could style them, that I couldn’t wait until they arrived in the mail. These beauties, even on the days that I am not into spending tons of time on my outfit, and just want to look casual with jeans and a tee, they would look amazing. They can be dressed up with a lace dress, for a fun date night, dressed down with jeans and a tee for a laid back look, and of course they are super appropriate and stylish for the office.
It was at an event hosted by CAT footwear last year in November, that I had a great opportunity to learn about the shoes, which I admired for so long, since being a third grader to be exact. I am especially drawn to the details and passion that every single pair is made with. Not only are these oxfords my favorite in my shoe collection, in addition to my beige ones, which I wore almost everyday the entire Spring, but I also felt an immediate connection with what the brand stands for. They are the earth movers; seeing obstacles as opportunities, and extraordinary in the ordinary. When I graduated from collage, unlike some of my classmates who had jobs lined up, I was not given that opportunity immediately. Instead of an opportunity I was given an obstacle, but in that obstacle I saw an opportunity to start an online portfolio to showcase my work which could potentially help me land the job of my dreams. Little did I know that I had in fact turned an obstacle into an opportunity, the day I decided to start my online portfolio. I just simply started posting to my online portfolio, which then later turned into a blog, which is the dream job that I was looking for. Looking back at it, those were the things that needed to happen, so I could see that the ordinary position that I was in, without a job like so many of the recent grads, was in reality something extraordinary in the making. The position that I was in was never ordinary, rather it was an extraordinary opportunity that landed me the “dream” job I was looking for.
As for the way I styled them today, I wanted to go for a menswear inspired look, since the oxfords are a menswear inspired shoe. The best way to achieve that look was with a white button up shirt and khaki shorts. I added a black ribbon as a tie around my neck, and threw on a navy style jacket in navy blue.
If you had not the time to check out CAT footwear’s newest fall collection, I suggest you stop what you are doing now and go take a peek.
