With Spring and warmer weather finally here, there is so much that I am excited for like Spring fashion arriving in the stores, shopping for a new pair of running shoes, but especially about being able to run outside again (I am not a huge fan of running in the cold).
Today I wanted to share with you the perfect running shoe from Reebok called Floatride. Yes, I know there is nothing in life that is perfect, but I have been a runner since high school and went through tons of different running shoes, and can say with confidence that none of the running shoes I have owned in the past can compare to the Reebok Floatride. It has all the needs and functionality a perfect running shoe should have; the sleek and unique design, comfort, and performance.
What first caught my attention about the Floatride is it’s unique design. Later, I learned that it took Reebok six years to develop this amazing and unique looking shoe. The upper part is a seamless ultra-knit that is engineered in zones to provide comfort, support, flexibility.
The material is also very breathable and looks so sleek. On the feet, it feels like you have no shoes on, more like a sock. There is no constraints on the upper part of my foot. The knit is compressed enough against your foot to keep it in place from moving around in the shoe, but at the same time very comfortable, and flexible.
On the sides of the Floatride there is a plastic diamond shaped cage which has the shoe laces going through, when you tighten the shoe laces the plastic cage gets pulled together to secure your foot in place and provides just enough stability without compromising the comfort.
To get the ideal support and comfort, the heel cup, according to Reebok was made in a bra factory. I ran a few times in them already, and I am happy to say that the heel cup didn’t give me any blisters, as some of my previous shoes did.
And the best part about this shoe is the foam cushioning. You feel the difference and the soft cushioning the moment you put the shoe on. Running on this foam definitely feels like you are floating and not running, hence the name Floatride. The foam’s cell structure delivers a great mix of cushioning and responsiveness, and it took Reebok six years to develop this technology.
My overall impression of the Reebok Floatride, is that with its sleek design, comfort and performance it is the ultimate running shoe.
The shoe will be available April 1st on Reebok.com. I highly recommend you check it out!!!
Special thanks to Reebok for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.
