A- line dresses for women should be a staple piece in every girl’s closet. It is one of the best and most flattering silhouettes that looks great on every body type. I was always a huge fan of tight fitted pencil skirts, because I have an hourglass figure and thought that this type of skirt fit my body the best. Until, I learned about the shape and proportions in design school and learned that A-line skirts accentuate the waist in body types that are pear shaped, and that it added balance to the apple or square body types.
Even though I learned about this in school, I was still somewhat scared of wearing them in fear of looking to frumpy. I honestly never knew how great an A- line skirt looked on me, until I started this fashion blog, and started taking pictures of myself in them. Once I could look at the pictures objectively (uninfluenced by emotions and personal prejudice), I realized that they actually do accentuate my waist, and that I do not look frumpy as I thought that I would look.
Well, anyways that is one of the tips I have for you today; if you are not sure of something, and how it might look on you, I suggest trying it on and then snapping a quick picture with your phone, and then look at the picture and you will get a different perspective. Trust me this little trick really works.
I hope you have a great weekend. And thank you for stopping by Baily Lamb for some fashion inspiration.
